The Sampler Collection
Lianne is the caretaker of a growing collection of antique schoolgirl samplers and needlework, with dated examples ranging from 1726 to 1939, collected mostly from Great Britain, with the remainder from the U.S.A, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Switzerland and Canada
Lianne holds incomplete, timeworn, damaged and unusual samplers as precious and deserving of love and attention, giving them an opportunity to be brought back to life through modern patterns
The expansion of the collection is currently focused on ensuring representation of work spanning the widest time span, styles and techniques possible

The Collection
Lianne purchased her first two antique samplers in May and June, 2014
The collection remained at two samplers until 2017, at which time it began to grow rapidly
Today, the collection currently numbers over 100 individual samplers & pieces of needlework
Lianne loves to share the collection with interested groups
