Louisa Acton was charted and provided as a free chart to the members of the Toronto Guild of Stitchery as part of a presentation I gave for them on January 2, 2020
The pattern was then shared via Facebook, Instagram and with local Canadian needlework guilds
To encourage the use of stash, individual choice and provide an opportunity to personalize, suggestions for fabric or floss aren't provided
I also used this sampler to encourage myself and others to try something new, jump into using possibly intimidating materials - for me this was dark red linen and silk threads
Happy stitching!!
Merry and Bright was created and is being provided as a free chart almost a year after the initial release of Louisa Acton's free pattern to the members of the Toronto Guild of Stitchery as part of a presentation I gave for them on January 2, 2020. So, I guess this makes the annual release of a freebie pattern around the holidays, a tradition!!!
To encourage the use of stash, individual choice and provide an opportunity to personalize, suggestions for fabric or floss aren't provided.
May the upcoming holiday season be Merry and Bright for you and your family!
Happy stitching!!
